Noah’s Ark cartoons always having holes in the roof for giraffes

……..” And God spake unto Noah and said ‘ Dost thou think I hadn’t thought of that – what sort of a God do you think I am ?” And Noah said : I was just wanted to be sure you’d thought it through, that’s all.’ And God was sorely vexed  : ‘Don’t talk to me about thinking things through – it was me who divided oranges up into bite-sized segments, remember, and if that isn’t thinking things through….’ ‘Yes, I know ,Lord, but , I mean, a stonking great hole in the roof stands to sink the whole shebang if it’s going to rain as much as you say, but if you say giraffes must have their hole then who am I to question it.’ ‘And don’t you forget it ’saith the Lord . ‘So you will also have anticipated what’s going to happen when your creatures two-by-two start getting hungry two-by-two ?’ And God answered and said :  ‘I am the Lord thy God , Master of all things ’.

‘Goes without saying of course, ‘  vouchsafed Noah ,’ just so long as I can be sure they won’t all start eating each other.’

And God was wrath : ‘What ?

‘ Well , of course I’m not putting the lions and the zebras together and crocodiles and wildebeest are starting off at different ends of the ark but I can’t be held responsible if they start wandering round deck and happen to meet at a mealtime? And God said  ‘Oh – I see what you mean .Good point – can I get back to you on that? ’ ”
