QUOT: (kwot) Noun and collective noun.

A commonplace occurrence – any feature or characteristic of ordinary life which is ever present or predictable in given circumstances – a generalisation to this effect. From ‘QUOTIDIAN’ meaning ‘everyday’ or ‘ordinary’

Sending a man shopping and him always coming home with the wrong kind of pasta

……which coincidentally is exactly what Vince did in this weeks episode of ‘At Home With The Bland Family’ on Quot Television. Read the catch-up :’ Karen isn’t please when she unpacks Vince’s shopping and won’t be placated by his saying  it was a mistake anyone could have made what with ‘penne’ and ‘pennone’ being so similar. She says they are completely different and anyway what he’s bought is conchiagletti but Vince says all pastas are basically the same whether they’re called chagiatelli or ragatone and shaped like drainpipe or a sea-horse .Anyway he can’t think how he could possibly have made the wrong choice in the supermarket what with all the pastas on the shelves which she didn’t like clearly marked  ‘No, not this one ’  and ‘Don’t even think about it ‘.

"Decisions,decisions!"

Karen misses the irony of this and asks why men find it impossible to get what they’re sent for and Vince says it’s possibly because they have other things on their mind , like for instance his Dad being in hospital as a result of Craig coming home from his midsummer solstice rituals in the middle of the night and leaving his antlers on the stairs and  what with Donna  knocking her Probation Officer out cold with her Friendship Bracelet …… but Karen isn’t listening  because she has found the bread in bottom of the bag and is waving it in his face yelling “And can’t you even tell the difference between  a wholemeal and a granary loaf?” ( QQQ**)
